Adventures... in the life of me!

Hey blogsters... man has my life ever been busy... and I am not quite sure why....

1st... Bubba is back from Arizona and is mostly attached to his girlfriend A's hip, pretty much most of the time.  She got kicked out of her apartment so her and Bubba are both living at his dad's house because that would not be approved of at our house.  I told her she could live with us ... or he could live with us... but not both.  Sounds hypocritical since his father and I lived in sin for a year before we got married... but we did not live at my mom's house, we had an apartment of our own. Anyways, its kind of funny that the stuff I did I don't want my kids doing.

2nd- ... T was having issues with her basketball coach ... who has anger management issues... she shoved my daughter one night because she was mad at how the team was playing... that night the referee's also called a technical on the coach because of her yelling and she threw a water bottle (I think she thinks she is Bobby Knight), but she so isn't.  We had to go to the school administration and school district and have the matter addressed, but she unfortunately still has her job, she was dealt with they tell us but they are not a liberty to say how the matter was handled.
T has since fallen off of a moving horse - (last weekend) and cannot play for a few weeks.  She was riding horses with her father and her horse was spooked by a train and took off ... the only thing she thought to do was roll off resulting in a fall ... ... which luckily only resulted in some deep bruising to her lower back.

3rd- Bugs is fine... growing bigger and more mischevious daily... I will have to find my cord so I can download the coloring with "play" lipstick episode... and the lets play with mom's make-up episode.... oh luckily I caught her grabbing a shaver to play with ... or that might have been lets go to the ER episode.  She is lucky she is so cute!!

4th- Me... I got my furniture from storage ... moved into my NEW room downstairs... in the process of getting everything situated down there.  I was spoiled when mom and dad were still there ... I never had to go shopping or take out the trash, do the dishes.... and now I am doing it all.  (They are wintering in the trailer in Mesquite, Nevada right now.)  The furnance quit working on Saturday ... so I had to pay for repairs on that ... it was dang cold too... luckily we have a gas fireplace that rocks ... to keep warm by.  Oh and I became a pink caddy lady... selling Mary Kay Cosmetics now... in an effort to earn extra income.
Kenny and I are doing great... this time I am taking things slower and it is just a lot more laid back and relaxed than my last relationship.  I like it!
Oh and the Eagles are coming here on May 9th... the day before Bubba's birthday/Mothers day...so we are going... I have never seen them live before... and we have excellent seats... 20th row.. section A.... which is the right side of the stage on the floor, looking at the stage.
Also... Kenny and I are going to the Nascar race in Las Vegas on March 1st... his first, my third... Kim's ? - she has been to bunches...  we are on the first row by turn 4 for that ... CAN'T WAIT! GO BOWYER!!
So life is good and busy... it is good to have my boy home... and life is basically good in general!!
Love you all... hope things are excellent for you too!

FRIDAY FUNNIES~

The Cardiologist's Funeral

A beloved cardiologist died and was given an elaborate funeral.  A huge heart covered in flowers stood behind the casket during his service.
Following the eulogy, the heart opened, and the casket rolled inside.  The heart then closed, sealing the doctor in the beautiful heart
forever.

At that point, one of the mourners burst into laughter. When all eyes stared at him, he said, 'I'm sorry, I was just thinking of my own
funeral. I'm a gynecologist.'

The proctologist fainted.....

Welcome 2009

HI blogsters...how the heck are ya? I have been so busy that I have not had time to think or even live in the moment.

We flew Bubba home for Christmas and it was very nice to have him home, miss Bugs had missed him terribly and hardly let him out of her sight.  It was a nice Christmas, very snow covered and cold... we started the morning out by candlelight... because our power was out.  It was different but nice.  By time we finished our unwrapping the power came back on, so we could have our traditional Christmas mid-to late morning breakfast!
We all had a good time.  Miss Bugs had a hard time being patient... but she seemed to have a lot of fun!
For some strange reason Bubba had to go back to school for the 29th, 30th and 31st and graduated on the 2nd.

T's birthday was the 29th .... we celebrated with family on the 27th because Bubba drove back with his best friend Dale on the 28th and G-ma and Papa (mom & dad) left to "winter" in Mesquite, Nevada on the 29th.

New Years Eve- I spent with Kenny and we had a good time.  I got up the next day and drove down to Mesquite, spent the night ... got up early, drove to Vegas, caught a plane to Phoenix, rented a car, drove to Bubba's school and graduation - which was very nice, Bubba made the Directors list 8 times and was student of the class for two of his classes... he was proud but tired ... and very glad to be done.  We took a tour of the school, had lunch with my boy and his dad, and back to the airport, caught a plane (with 12 other people - weird... I have never seen a large plane so empty and on a friday night - headed to Vegas!!) back to Vegas, made my way to Kim's house and had some dinner, and watched the the second half of the Utah Utes beating Alabama in the Sugar Bowl with my bestest!!  (the Utes went undeteated this season 13-0!!!!!).

Got up the next day ... we decided to go to lunch at Joes Crab Shack.. they have a very tasty drink there called the Shark Bite.... it is VERY good.  I somehow ended up celebrating my birthday (not really my birthday) by wearing a purple pimp hat, fairy wings and hula hooping ~ and no, I wasn't drunk!  Somehow the waitress got the impression that it was my birthday (Kim's husband, Sean) and they like to embarass people at Joe's!  Yes it was embarassing.... especially since I cannot hula hoop .... I ended up putting it on my wrist and spinning it that way.

Then it was off.... back through the desert... to Mesquite... out to dinner with the folks and another overnight.. and back to SLC by car.   Bugs and I made the trip down and back safe ... T had to stay here because she had two basketball games.  We decided to fly me out of Vegas because it was cheaper than flying from SLC and some how finding a sitter for the 4 days I was gone.

After the holidays and Bubba's graduation, I feel like I am finally starting to catch my breath!  Whew.... anyways I hope that 2009 will be a great year for you!!

I got this Affirmation from the December 31st day of my "The Secret" desk calendar:

An affirmation for the rest of your life:  "In the new picture of the coming years, I see my life growing and expanding in everything: in health, youth and unlimited energy at all times and in all circumstances.  I see myself in complete freedom.  I see unlimited growth in my pesonal capacity, mental power, and intellectual brilliancy.  I see constant improvement in all the elements of my personality and my body.  I see daily growth in my wisdom, understanding, insight, and realization.  I see myself in peace, harmony, love and joy, and I see my character expanding to be stronger and more beautiful.  I see the never-ending betterment of friends, associations, and environments.  I see myself in everlasting joy and infinite bliss."

My wish for you this year and always... HAPPINESS AND LOVE, may you have few worries and fewer problems this year!  I love you all~

Seasons Greetings!!

HI my friends... this time of year is totally crazy for me (finishing basement room and bathroom, shopping, Bubba coming home again, T's birthday on the 29th, job interviews, etc!).  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving... I almost didn't recognize Bubba when I picked him up from the airport in Las Vegas... he was so skinny!!  I took pic's but have not downloaded them (of course).  After the New Year, I am pretty sure I will be back in full force, or better than I have been ... and I resolve to get around to visit you all.  Until then, have a great Holiday Season!

Much love always... from me, Bubba, T and Bugs!!!!!
